It is apparent that many of us are not going to get our census forms; however, it is still vital that we complete the 2020 Census. Turns out after holding on the phone an hour or so for a census associate to pick up, that it is very easy to do even without the form. The easiest way is probably going to be online. Simply type in https://my2020census.gov or click the link now and get it out of the way.
When you get to the place that ask you to enter your 12 digit ID number just click the tab below that says “I do not have an ID number” from there on follow the instructions. I did mine earlier today while I kept a census worker on the phone “in case” I had a problem, and it took me 5 minutes. I did my mothers just prior to sending this email to make certain that I could do hers and be sure of the information I am sharing with you. Experienced now, Mom’s only took me 4 minutes. The reason I wanted to be certain that I could do my mothers is to know for sure that I could ask you to help each other. We are going to all need to do it online or by phone or in person when a census worker comes to the door. I will put the phone number at the end of this. Did I mention I held an hour to get an associate? Without use of the library we will need to help each other; I will put this in the next newsletter as well and anyone that needs help can call me on the phone and I will complete it for you. The most personal information in the questionnaire is the birth dates of everyone living in the home. Most everyone that gets this email will have no problem getting it done, but maybe you have a relative or neighbor that you know does not have a computer you could help. Or be ready for them to call you when the next water bill comes out. If anyone would like to do it by telephone, use the restroom, fix a snack and call 1-844-330-2020. Thanks to all of you! As always, Stay Focused, United and Alive, 6’ apart.
