WATER SERVICE ALERT
BOIL ALERT CANCELLED
The water regulator in our water supply line coming from Granville. This will only affect our customers on Granville St. and Raccoon Valley Road. We plan to do the first part of the repair this coming Tuesday March 12th at approximately 9:30 AM. We anticipate that we will only need to shut the water off for a couple of hours, at this time we do not anticipate needing to issue a boil alert. If something unexpected happens and we do need to issue a boil alert someone will knock on your door and explain it or leave a door hanger on the door notifying you of the alert if no one is home. We will also send out an email, post it on our website and announce the alert on 101.7 radio. I would always recommend having a few days’ worth of bottle drinking water on hand, you will still be able to bathe, do laundry and anything else with tap water until the boil alert is canceled. Water used for cooking as with drinking would need to be brought to a rolling boil, allow to cool before drinking. Again, we only plan to shut off the water for a couple of hours beginning at 9:30 AM. Tuesday March 12, 2024, and again, this only affects residents on Granville Street and Racoon Valley Road. However, village-wide we might see some rust in our water but while not pretty, it will be safe to drink.
Thank you for your understanding.
